September Review
12th October 2009

All Players, Parents and Supporters,

We are now well into a new footballing year and I’m pleased to report that all involved have hit the ground running and keen to build on a fantastic season in 2008/09. If we can replicate that enthusiasm we can go a long way to achieving that sort of success rate again.

On the pitch we are now fielding a total of 16 Youth teams and 1 Adult team, representing the best part of 230 players. From a result point of view, the Under 11, Under 13 and Under 16 teams have come out of the traps particularly well, recording plenty of victories and at times scoring at will. To help incentivise teams this season we are initiating a new Team of the Month Award which will be based on primarily results but also attitude, conduct, discipline and quality.

September’s outstanding performers and winners of CRFC’s first Team of the Month goes to the Under 13 Bulldogs under the guidance of Mathew Evans who achieved 4 straight victories and scoring 24 goals in the process…congratulations lads

Off the pitch a large amount of work and money went into the Abercorn over the summer months which now means that our boys won’t get “lost” down in the bottom corner. All teams are now in receipt of a completely new kit which I’m sure you’ll all agree looks fantastic. We are indebted to Tanner Taylor LLP, VERTU and Evolution Group whose generosity has allowed us to make this investment.

We have a great deal to look forward to over the coming months and I will keep you regularly updated with our progress. Most importantly though…

ENJOY YOUR FOOTBALL!

Andy
