January Review
6th February 2010

All,

We once again look back at another month of very little football to report on, with only 9 games actually completed across our 16 teams - with many training sessions also being cancelled due to the weather which has seen games called off for snow, waterlogging and frozen pitches!!

As ever, we do reward our team of the month and for January this accolade is awarded to Mark Collinson and his Under 16 team, who won both of their games in the month, the second of which saw them complete an extra time victory to take them into the last 4 of their league cup.

We also have congratulations to pass out to several members of our club who have made the squads for their respective league representative leagues:

Under 11 - Sam Warner, Ross Frisby & Mikey Auge-de-Rancourt

Under 13 - Lewis Ambler

Off the pitch we continue to make in-roads into the community and charity initiatives;

I have spent a lot of time building our relationship with Calthorpe Park School ans this month met with Bev Edwards from the PE Department about how we can further strengthen our links.

For charity plans, and following the horrific earthquake in Haiti we aim to get our old kit out there as part of FIFA's plans to bring normality to the thousands of orphaned children left after the disaster.

More information will follow in the coming months on these matters.
