| Not sure what to say about this one. At half team we were leading by 4 goals and then one of the Liss players decided to go home. This left them with only 10, so we took off one of our players to make it a little fairer. We scored 7 more. They gave up and we could have scored another 10. | Despite some solid defending and an outstanding performance by the Liss goalkeeper, The Hornets through Archie opened the scoring in the second quarter of the match. With the tension relieved, the boys kept the pressure on and by half time through a good effort from Alex were 2 goals up. The half time talk inspired the boys to go out and press for a convincing win - which they did. Goals came more easily in the second half and it was good to see some well worked moves. | Without doubt, our worst start to a game so far this season with Hook scoring in the first 5 minutes. The boys appeared to be very lethargic for the first 15 minutes, but finished the half pressing hard for a goal. 0 - 1 at half time. After a half time of silent reflection, the boys upped their game and got stuck in. Excellent defensive work by all the boys with strong tackling from Ryan M and Tom, soon paid dividends and more chances were created for our forward players with Joe scoring on the break and relieveing the tension in The Hornets supporters. Time was not on our side and then a bit of luck - Hook gad a goal disalowed. Within minutes, Joe had put us in the lead and then Alex soon started to show his fitness and cruised through to put away another two goals to give a final scoreline of 4-1. | A tough match against a team that are unlucky to be near the foot of the table. Joe started the scoring with a surprising left foot shot in the first half and Scott got his first of the season with a firm side-footed volley with his left. It is good to see that the training sessions are having some impact as neither of the goalscorers used to believe that their left foot was for anything more than standing on. | The Boys were straight in from the start and put the opposition under pressure resulting with Archie slotting the 1st goal home. Yateley cam back into the game 15 minutes before half time and the Boys soaked up the pressure well into the 2nd half. | A sound performance by the boys this week with little trace of the after Xmas blues. Another clean sheet and according to my statastician, the opposition had no corners and Jamie did not need to take any goal kicks. | The game was a bit like the weather. A dull start picking up just before mid morning a bright & sunny finish.
The boys certainly looked half asleep to start with, finally getting into their stride just before half time.
Much battling by Joe up front enabled the other boys to capitalise on their opportunities and sound defending in the first half kept us in the game.
Archie showed why he is our leading goal scorer this season with another two and Adam picked up one to add to his tally with Alex polishing the morning off with a rocket from the edge of the area.
We now go to Xmas unbeaten in the league and all it needs is team work and 100% effort from all the boys in the New Year to see us have a very successful season. Man of The Match - Jordan. |

| Excellent performance by the boys after the defeat last week. It looked like we would never score for a long time as their 8 man defense kept us out until a spectacular overhead kick from Adam on the stroke of half time gave us the lead.
