Summary of Season
The season after, is always hard to follow, we lost three players & gained two new ones. At times we have played some superb football. Passing the ball around and creating numerous chances. That’s been our problem this year, not scoring enough goals.
We have Played 21 competitive games, Won 5, Drawn 7 & Lost 9. All our draws have been in the Premier league & all those results could have been victories.
The boys have adapted well to changes in the team and continue to develop.
Our Hampshire cup run was ended early by Aldershot Town, taking them to extra time and eventually loosing 4-2. Our League cup run was again very disappointing loosing in the 2nd round 3-2 to Mytchett Athletic Falcons a Division 1 team.

Summary of Season
What a season. League Cup Winners, Premier League Runners Up & Quarter Finalists in the Hampshire Cup.
It all started back in September with a draw away at Camberley. The squad had been strengthened with the arrival of 4 new players from Fleet Town. Following our opening draw, we had back to back defeats, then followed a 5 match unbeaten run. Included in this was the start of our adventure in the Hampshire County Cup, which took us to the Quarter Finals, where we lost 4-2 at home to AFC Porchester.
Our League Cup campaign started in November with 9-1 home win against Yorktown, this was followed by a 2nd round home 1-0 home win, against CSA07 Trojans. In the Quarter Final we were drawn at home to Pinewood Pumas and had a comfortable 5-1 win. The Semi-Final found us drawn against Sandhurst Spartans a Division 1 team. They gave us a run for our money taking the lead, before a late rally, we eventually running out winners 5-3. Finchampstead await us in the final. Our league form has continued to be a good, standing 2nd in the league, our record stands at, played 15, won 9, draw 2, lost 4.
Over the Easter period we took the majority of the squad on tour to Holland playing in a tournament & having a friendly game. The experience was fantastic for the boys, playing against older opposition & at times admiring the composure and ability of the Dutch boys to pass & move the ball around.
It has been a great season, we have improved on our league postion from last year & have had great times in the Cups. To achieve all this, you need a lot of support & help. My thanks as always goes to Nigel, Steve, Val “The Chef” Ambler & to all you parents, especially James & Glen for running the line, Wendy for doing the Admin, but most of all the biggest thanks goes to the boys, who make it all worthwhile, Thank You.

Summary of Season
Our first season at 11-aside playing in the Premier League. As it stands we will finish 6th at best. The boys have adapted well from mini football & the introduction of the offside rule.
We had an early departure from the Hampshire cup loosing 2-1 away to Liss. We opened our league campaign with an away defeat to Mytchett going down 1-0. Three home games followed with a 4-3 win against local rivals Fleet Town, a 3-1 defeat to Yateley, followed by a superb 3-3 draw to Liss. We were then away to Yateley where we won convincingly 4-1. A home defeat to Darby Green 4-2 was disappointing.
Our next game was again against Liss, this time it was the league cup 1st round, which we won 3-1. This was the start of an excellent run in the cup. Our next opposition was Liphook, who after a penalty shoot out we beat. The quarter finals beckoned against Camberley, unbeaten all season. The boys were magnificent running away with the game, 3-1 up with ten minutes to go, two late goals from Camberley forcing the game into extra time & again penalties. Victory was ours, winning the penalty shoot-out 3-2. Now one game away from the final, Curley Park stood in our way. Unfortunately it was not to be, we went down 3-2 having dominated most of the game. It was here where the team demonstrated their sportsmanship, under great disappointment they took defeat extremely well, held their heads high and were gracious in defeat. This earnt them a tribute from the opposing team Manager stating that he hoped his team could set the same example if they were ever in the same position. Of this I am extremely proud.
In between this campaign we achieved two magnificent draws against the top of the table
Ludwig who are still unbeaten in the league. Victories have been few in the league but we gained other victories against Fleet & Mytchett. Draws against Camberley & Liphook, and defeat to Curley Park & Camberley in our final game of the season.
In summary we saved our best performances against the teams above us & for the cup. Going forward we are as good as any team in the league, once we tighten up our defensive game we will be a challenge next season. Our League record reads Won 4, Drawn 5 & Lost 9.
We will be strengthening the squad for next season. In all the season has been good with boys playing some superb football & most of all enjoying themselves.

2006/2007 show info
The Under-10 Chimps, have had an excellent season so far in Division 1, unbeaten in their last 12 games, having lost only 2 games all season, one of those losses being in the league cup against premiership opposition Hawley Raiders. We were 3-0 down by half time, the boys showed great character pulling it back to 3-3, loosing to a late goal.
We are currently 2nd in the league with 3 games to go, a second league title is in our hands. If we win our remaining games we will win the title. We are the league highest goal scorers, we have the best defensive record, the most unbeaten games and the highest scoring victory. Contributions have come from all over the team, Lewis Ambler are top scorer with 26 goals, Dan Bothe with 15, Nick Haines with 8, Charlie Auge-de-Rancourt with 7, Justin Goreing with 6 and Ellis Marshall with 3. Our defence has been solid and our goalkeeper Andrew Galloway has played excellently, making match winning saves. Mark Tucker and Rory Price marshalling the defence well. Contributions from Sam Brown & Kieran Timmins have been most valuable. Many thanks to Harry Brown for his efforts, stepping up from the Sunday league and making his presence felt. The whole team has played well and this is demonstrated by the fact that every regular player has won man of the match at least once.
We hold many of this seasons team records, some of which include: the leagues top scoring team, with over 60 goals, best unbeaten run & lets hope a league title.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following people: Nigel Chapman & Matthew Evans for their assistance and support in training, Wendy Brimicombe for taking on the role of Admin assistant for the U10 age group and Richard Goreing for maintaining & updating the chimps webteams website.
Last of all thank you to the parents for your continued support & last but not least a massive thank you to the players, you make it all worthwhile, I am extremely proud of you all and what we have achieved over the last couple of years, keep up the great work.
NEWPAPER ARTICLE - May 2007 - Darby Green Tournament
Crookham Rovers F.C. Under 10’s have been very successful in two recent tournaments, entering three teams, Chimps, Hornets and Monkeys. At Darby Green F.C. on the 12 May, the Hornets and Monkeys played some exciting games, but unfortunately were knocked out in the league stages. The Chimps came through their league, unbeaten, ending up in the final against one of the host teams, Darby Green Lions, beating them 1 - 0 to win the tournament.

Review of Season
A great first season in a competitive league. This team is very young, many of its players are playing above their age group. As the season has developed all the players have improved greatly. We have had some excellent victories beating teams above us in the league. Our cup run was cut short, an early exit in the preliminary rounds. What has been most pleasing is the ability of the players to come back from defeats. We have surprised teams and we have beaten all but two of the teams in our league at some point in the season. It just goes to show that on our day, we are a match for any team. The players should be very proud of what they have achieved this year. Well Done.
