04.12.11 United 1 v 8 Rushmoor Saints 14:00 Cody 2 League more info
Injury ravaged United fell to the biggest defeat for many years (as Tigers too!!) when outplayed and outclassed by a confident Rushmoor side. Crookham took the lead through a well taken Jarvis Reay finish and lead until 10 minutes before the break when they hit the self-destruct button and went in 1-4 down. With a couple of players adding to the injury woes we had to reshuffle again and with Rushmoor 'in the mood' they went on and only a great series of saves from Dan Sullivan kept the score at single figures. MoM to Sam Williams who put in one of usual captain's shifts!!
27.11.11 United 1 v 5 CSA07 Warriors 14:00 Abercorn League more info
When the wheels come off for us, they seem to be spectacular and this was no different. With 2 players away on international duty, we approached the game in the same way and enforced an attacking formation. Losing one player through injury was bad and going in 1-0 down wasn't a disaster and half time seemed to change fortunes, when Jarvis poked in from close range within minutes of the second half it was game on. Unfortauntely as the tempers frayed Chaz Westwood saw red for lashing out at a defender and CSA follwed this pain with two quick goals. Despite the set-back we pushed on and had good chances to get back in the game before an injury a dubious free kick was awarded, and Adam Jackson saw red for a second yellow card leaving us down to nine men, salt being rubbed into the wound as the freekick was dispatched for 4-1, a sickening injury to Nathan Courtney saw Crookham reduced to 7 men, with CSA adding a final blow in the last minute and a 5-1 defeat. Man of the match went to a heroic last stand performance to the back 4, with Sam Brimicombe taking the award.
20.11.11 United 2 v 1 Alton United 14:00 Cody SSC 2 League more info
Fantastic performance from every single player in this table topping clash. Not a foot put wrong and goals from Jack Webster and Jack Kavanagh gave United a much deserved win. Fantastic game of football, man of the match went to goalkeeper Dan Sullivan who made a strong of world class saves.
06.11.11 Camberley Town Youth 1 v 0 United 14:00 Frimley Lodge 4 Cup more info
Plucky performance against Premier League oppostion who were held at bay for 65 minutes before going down to a set-piece goal. MoM went to Jarvis Reay.
30.10.11 Curley Park Rangers 3 v 1 United 14:00 Lightwater Leisure Centre League more info
Sparks flied as United's 4 game run of picking up maximum points in the league was smashed by new boys Curley Park Rangers in a disappointing 3-1 away defeat. The home side opened up the scoring in the first half with the two centre forwards tearing up the United defence, and as confidence dropped and harsh challenges flied in from both sides United had conceded again as Curley ended the first half with a 2-0 lead. United started the second half with much more confidence and tried to rescue something from the game, Sam Williams hitting the crossbar from long distance. But Curley Park continued to dominate and scored again to make it 3-0. United knew they had a big hole to dig themselves out of, Jack Kavanagh's shot hitting the crossbar for the second time in the match. United finally grabbed a goal back from Jack Webster late in the second half, but it seemed as if it was too late for a dramatic comeback as United dropped from the top spot for the first time this season. Man of the Match - Nathan Courtney.
16.10.11 Windsor FC 2 v 3 United 14:30 Hanover Way League more info
Nathan Courtney's spectacular late over head kick secured Division 2 high-flyers Crookham Rovers United a win at Windsor FC Youth to keep them top of the table. This away fixture was something of a wake up call for a confident United side who led the first half 2-0 through a penalty taken from James Morrison and a 25 yard wonder goal from Jarvis Reay, but could have easily scored much more goals if it wasn't for a handful of great saves from the Windsor goalkeeper, and a shot by Liam Grace cleared off the line inside the 6 yard box by the Windsor centre back. The game had gone very flat by the start of the second half, neither side could gain control of the match, until Windsor netted back a goal due to United switching off, thinking they had already won the match - but they could not be more wrong, as just a few moments later Windsor equalised much to United's surprise and all of a sudden the game was level at 2-2. As most of the spectators thought the game was all over, United clawed back the lead showing incredible team spirit to make the full time score 3-2. Man of the Match went to United shot stopper Dan Sullivan for a fantastic display despite playing with suspected broken ribs.
09.10.11 United 1 v 7 St Francis Youth 14:00 Cody SSC 1 Cup more info
Hampshire Cup dreams over in the second round with a home defeat to a strong St Francis side. Only goal came from Jack Webster, with MoM going to Sam Brimicombe.
02.10.11 CRFC Phoenix 1 v 7 United 14:00 Cody SSC 2 League more info
The first league fixture between the two Crookham Rovers sides resulted in United pulling on their pink shirts for the first time this season. Both sides went into today's game with bags of confidence, United looking for a 3rd straight win and Phoenix looking to build on a surprising 1-1 draw with Alton United last Sunday. Jack Webster, who has been outstanding this season, opened up the scoring early into the first half with his 5th goal of the campaign. United piled on the pressure, Charlie Westwood having a goal disallowed for being marginally offside. Not long after Webster doubled the United lead making it 2-0. Phoenix started to create chances, Ben Drummie and Matt Lee almost got on the score sheet, but the United defence was too much for them to handle. Right-back Rob James scored his 1st ever goal for United with a great header from a corner, and just moments later Webster wrapped up his hat-trick. 4-0 United. Just as it looked as if United had won the game comfortably, Phoenix were awarded a penalty for an unfair challenge on Alex Vallone in the box. Matt Lee gave the home side some hope scoring from the spot. Kavanagh was next to score for a dominant United side before captain Sam Williams scored his 1st goal of the season from a decent strike just outside of the box. 6-1 United. Just as it was looking as if the game was over Webster scored his 4th goal of the match, earning himself the Man of the Match award. Full-time CRFC Phoenix 1 - 7 CRFC United.
25.09.11 Hartley Wintney 0 v 5 United 14:30 HWFC League more info
With the absence of manager Pete Grace, assistant manager Scouse made his Crookham Rovers managerial debut. A United team, who went into today's game looking for back to back wins and a chance to go top of the league faced off against a Hartley Wintney side who were looking to bounce back from a 6-0 defeat to Alton last week. From the kick-off United dominated the game and had numerous chances, Charlie Westwood doing well to get around the Hartley Wintney keeper, but missed an open goal in comical fashion similar to that of Fernando Torres's miss against Manchester United. Crookham finally got the chance they deserved after an unfair challenge in the box, James Morrison making it 1-0 from the penalty spot. Just a few minutes later and Westwood doubled the lead, redeeming himself from his miss earlier in the game, 2-0 United. Just on the stroke of half time Jack Webster grabbed his first goal of the match via a fantastic through ball from skipper Sam Williams. A confident United side started the second half with a 3-0 lead and looked for a fourth goal, Liam Grace and Jack Kavanagh coming very close. Just a few minutes in and United had scored yet again, this time from Kavanagh. Just as it was looking as if things could not get any worse for a struggling Hartley Wintney side, the visitors made it 5-0 as Webster scored his second goal of the match wrapping up an impressive performance from an unbeaten United side this season. MOM - Charlie Westwood.
18.09.08 United 7 v 2 Camberley Boys 14:00 The Abercorn League more info
United off to a fabulous start to life in Divison 2 with a storming win over a decent Camberley side. The boys played some of the football that has deserted them in pre-season and roared to victory with 2 outstanding strikes from Jack Webster, 2 more from Charlie Westwood, 1 each for James Morrison, Jarvis Reay and Man of the Match Jack Kavanagh.
